A Familiar Face
A Familiar Face is a short Act 3 side quest available only if Isaiah Reddan survived the Act 2 quest Vengeance. Speak to Isaiah in Homestead to complete it and unlock him as a merchant. If you trusted him rather than extorting him in Vengeance, you also receive Homestead reputation.
If the quest does not appear, the cause is usually your Vengeance outcome rather than Isaiah's location. Killing Isaiah prevents the quest on that difficulty. If Vengeance was never accepted or resolved in Arkovian Foothills, Isaiah may still appear as a merchant in Homestead, but A Familiar Face will not trigger.
- 1Spare Isaiah during Vengeance in Act 2
- ▸Accept Vengeance from Drew Larkin in Arkovian Foothills.
- ▸When confronting Isaiah Reddan, resolve the quest without killing him: either trust his account or extort him.
- ▸Killing Isaiah prevents A Familiar Face. For the reputation reward and better merchant stock, trust him without extorting him.
- 2Speak to Isaiah in Homestead
- ▸Reach Homestead in Act 3 and find Isaiah with his daughter, Josephine Reddan.
- ▸Speak to Isaiah; the quest begins and completes through the conversation, after which he becomes available as a merchant.
- ▸The Normal reward is 2,000 XP. Only trusting Isaiah in Vengeance also grants +250 Homestead reputation and improves his prices and stock. Elite/Ultimate XP rewards are 8,000/20,000.
The entire quest takes place inside Homestead; no combat or exploration is required. If Isaiah is present but the quest does not start, verify that Vengeance was accepted and resolved on the same difficulty and that Isaiah survived. That outcome cannot be changed later, so use another difficulty or character if necessary.
