A Witch's Bargain
An Act 5 main quest offered by Garradia at Coven's Refuge after Desperate Measures. Travel to Barrowholm, deal with Scorv Egdenor, obtain the Ugdenbog Fetish, and return it to Garradia. The conversation with Scorv permanently determines whether Barrowholm becomes friendly or hostile on that difficulty.
Scorv's dialogue is also the Barrowholm faction choice. Friendship unlocks the village questline and vendors; hostility turns the village against you and cannot be reversed on that difficulty. The route to the Fetish changes with this choice, so decide before answering him.
- 1Accept A Witch's Bargain from Garradia
- ▸Complete the prerequisite Desperate Measures.
- ▸Speak to Garradia in the house on the rise at Coven's Refuge.
- ▸Accept her request to recover the Ugdenbog Fetish from Barrowholm.
- 2Travel north through Ugdenbog to Barrowholm
- ▸Leave Coven's Refuge to the east and continue north through Ugdenbog.
- ▸Activate the Ugdenbog Rift along the way, then keep heading north to Barrowholm.
- ▸Before speaking to Scorv Egdenor in the central house, decide whether to befriend or oppose Barrowholm.
- 3Obtain the Ugdenbog Fetish through your chosen route
- ▸On the friendly route, accept Scorv's terms and progress the village tasks beginning with A Jewel in the Mud until the Fetish is provided.
- ▸On the hostile route, kill Scorv, take the Barrowholm Cellar Key, and enter the Forlorn Cellar, which leads to the Den of the Wendigo.
- ▸Kill Namadea, the Reaper at the end of the hostile route and make sure to pick up the Ugdenbog Fetish she drops.
- 4Deliver the Fetish to Garradia
- ▸Return to Coven's Refuge with the Ugdenbog Fetish.
- ▸Give the Fetish to Garradia to complete the quest.
- ▸Rewards are 29,000 / 62,500 / 112,000 XP by difficulty, +500 Coven of Ugdenbog reputation, and two random partial components; Into the Jaws of Madness and other quests unlock.
If you cannot find Barrowholm, leave Coven's Refuge east, pass the Ugdenbog Rift, and continue north. After befriending Scorv, progress the village tasks beginning with A Jewel in the Mud. After choosing hostility, take Scorv's key and enter the Forlorn Cellar inside the village.
