Bounty: The Deepdweller
An Act 3 Homestead faction bounty. Travel through the Royal Hive in the Rotting Croplands, reach the Den of the Lost, slay Gollus, the Deepdweller, and return to the Homestead Bounty Table.
Bounties have no quest marker on the mini-map. The Royal Hive entrance spawns randomly and unmarked in the northern Rotting Croplands, and the Den of the Lost is only reachable through a breakable wall inside the Skittering Den. Killing Gollus before accepting the bounty does not count.
- 1Accept the bounty at Homestead
- ▸Roll and accept The Deepdweller at the Homestead Bounty Table.
- ▸Only one Homestead bounty can be active, and the faction offers at most five bounties per game session.
- ▸If Gollus was already killed, begin a new game session and accept the bounty before killing him.
- 2Enter the Royal Hive from the Rotting Croplands
- ▸Travel northeast from the Homestead Rift into the Rotting Croplands.
- ▸Proceed through the Dermapteran hive in the Rotting Croplands and enter the Royal Hive.
- ▸No yellow star or circle appears, so verify each area name as you advance.
- 3Slay Gollus in the Den of the Lost
- ▸From the depths of the Royal Hive, pass through the Skittering Den and enter the secret Den of the Lost.
- ▸Kill the unique boss Gollus, the Deepdweller, at the far end.
- ▸Confirm that the quest log updates to returning to the Homestead Bounty Table.
- 4Return to the Homestead Bounty Table
- ▸Return to the Homestead Bounty Table. XP is 5,000 on Normal, 9,000 on Elite, and 15,000 on Ultimate.
- ▸Homestead reputation is +200/+400/+575.
- ▸The item reward is one random rare component.
The missing marker is normal. Go northeast from Homestead into the Rotting Croplands, enter the Royal Hive through the Dermapteran hive, then pass through the Skittering Den to reach the Den of the Lost. If Gollus was already dead, restart the session and kill him after accepting the bounty.
