An Act 3 main quest offered by Douglass Sullivan Oldbarrow in Homestead after Infested Fields. Collect two Pheromone Glands in the Royal Hive, open the Hive Queen's Lair, and kill Swarm Queen Ravna. The reward includes an Inventory Bag.

WHY PLAYERS GET STUCK
The Royal Hive entrance randomly selects one of several spawn points north-northwest of the Rotted Croplands Rift each session. Ravna's chamber remains sealed until you collect both Pheromone Glands from Lozakal and Inixil.
WALKTHROUGH
- 1Complete Infested Fields and speak to Douglass
- ▸Complete Infested Fields by destroying 10 Dermapteran Egg Clusters and reporting to Douglass.
- ▸Continue speaking with Douglass Sullivan Oldbarrow and accept his request to kill the queen.
- 2Find the Royal Hive in the Rotted Croplands
- ▸Leave Homestead through its west gate and proceed across the farms toward the Rotted Croplands Rift.
- ▸The Royal Hive entrance appears at one of several possible locations across a broad area north-northwest of the rift each session.
- ▸Search the north-northwestern fields broadly if the cave is not immediately visible.
- 3Collect both Pheromone Glands
- ▸Explore the Royal Hive and kill Grand Vizier Lozakal and Grand Vizier Inixil.
- ▸Pick up the Pheromone Gland dropped by each, for a total of two.
- ▸With both glands, interact with the sealed entrance to the Hive Queen's Lair.
- 4Kill Swarm Queen Ravna
- ▸Enter the Hive Queen's Lair and kill Swarm Queen Ravna.
- ▸Ravna transforms twice and uses physical and poison/acid attacks, poison pools, and falling rocks. Improve the relevant defenses and avoid ground effects if needed.
- ▸After the kill, the one-way exit on the right returns you near the Royal Hive entrance.
- 5Report to Douglass and receive the bag
- ▸Return to Homestead and report to Douglass.
- ▸Rewards include difficulty-scaled XP and Iron, +1,000 Homestead reputation, and one Inventory Bag.
STILL LOST?
If the quest is unavailable, complete Infested Fields first. If the cave is missing, search broadly north-northwest of the Rotted Croplands Rift. If the queen's door is sealed, search the hive for the missing Pheromone Gland from Lozakal or Inixil.
There is no time limit or failure branch, so this quest is not missable. Killing Ravna before accepting normally preserves the kill credit for later turn-in. The bag reward is available on each difficulty.
