An Ashes of Malmouth Act 6 main quest offered by Inquisitor Creed in the Sewer Hideout after Someone on the Inside. Take the northwest exit into the Steelcap District and defeat the Aetherial waves around the Riftgate to retake the Resistance base.
The quest starts with Creed in the Sewer Hideout, not at the Steelcap base. Enter the district through the hideout's northwest exit. Touching the Riftgate alone is insufficient: defeat every Aetherial wave around it. After the battle, Creed appears just north of the Riftgate for the turn-in.
- 1Accept the quest from Inquisitor Creed
- ▸Complete the prerequisite quest Someone on the Inside.
- ▸Speak with Inquisitor Creed in the Sewer Hideout.
- ▸Accept his plan to retake the old Resistance base in the Steelcap District.
- 2Reach the Steelcap District base
- ▸Use the northwest exit from the Sewer Hideout to enter the Steelcap District.
- ▸Advance to the Riftgate and the ruined Resistance base around it.
- ▸The base is occupied by Aetherials, so prepare healing and Aether resistance before engaging.
- 3Defeat the Aetherial assault
- ▸Approach the Riftgate and kill the Aetherials that spawn around the base.
- ▸Do not stop after the first group; eliminate every reinforcement wave.
- ▸Confirm that the objective updates to speaking with Inquisitor Creed and that the base is secure.
- 4Report to Creed
- ▸After retaking the base, speak with Inquisitor Creed, who appears north of the Riftgate.
- ▸Rewards are 42,000 / 82,000 / 138,000 XP by difficulty, +1,000 Malmouth Resistance reputation, and 8 Scrap.
- ▸Completion unlocks Tip of the Spear, Stoking the Flames, and Mad Ramblings.
If the quest is unavailable, check Creed in the Sewer Hideout. Once accepted, take the hideout's northwest exit and reach the Steelcap District Riftgate. If it will not secure, search nearby for a remaining reinforcement; afterward, turn in to Creed north of the Riftgate.
