The Heart of Onarix
The Heart of Onarix is an Act 7 main quest available only on the Cult of Solael route. Take the Eye of Ekur from Sagon at the Vanguard of the Three, use it at the Burning Spire in the Ruins of Abyd, enter the rift to the Bloodied Wastes, kill Onarix, the Razorhide, and return its heart to Sagon.
The destination is not the Conclave or the Temple of Osyr. Travel northeast from the Vanguard and find the raised Burning Spire in the Ruins of Abyd. Sagon returns the Eye of Ekur to you with a rune, so there is no need to search storage or revisit its earlier dungeon.
- 1Accept the quest from Sagon at the Vanguard
- ▸Choose the Cult of Solael on this difficulty and complete In Service of Solael; other cult routes cannot receive this quest.
- ▸Accept The Heart of Onarix from Sagon, Vicar of Solael, at the Vanguard of the Three.
- ▸Sagon gives you the Eye of Ekur quest item, now inscribed with a rune.
- 2Activate the altar at the Burning Spire
- ▸Travel northeast from the Vanguard to the raised Burning Spire in the Ruins of Abyd.
- ▸Interact with the Altar of Abyd atop the spire and place the Eye of Ekur on it.
- ▸Activating the altar opens a fixed rift to the Bloodied Wastes.
- 3Kill Onarix and collect its heart
- ▸Enter the fixed rift and traverse the Bloodied Wastes, a Chthonic Void area.
- ▸Defeat the boss at the end, Onarix, the Razorhide.
- ▸Pick up the Heart of Onarix quest item dropped by the boss.
- 4Deliver the heart to Sagon
- ▸Use the exit rift in the Bloodied Wastes and return to the Vanguard; personal rifts cannot be cast inside this area.
- ▸Give the Heart of Onarix to Sagon to complete the quest.
- ▸This rejoins the main path and unlocks Tomb of the Eldritch Sun.
If you cannot find the entrance, return to the Vanguard Rift, walk northeast into the Ruins of Abyd, and look for the raised Burning Spire. If the quest does not advance after the boss dies, make sure you picked up the Heart of Onarix.
