In Service of Bysmiel
A Forgotten Gods Act 7 main quest available after pledging to the Cult of Bysmiel in Loyalty to the Three. Complete Blood of the Korvan Guardians and The Power of Galfang for Alain, then report to Byscilla at the Vanguard of the Three.
This wrapper quest does not advance until both of Alain's quests are complete. After killing Galfang, pick up his Core, return it to Alain, and finish the dialogue. Byscilla then waits at the Vanguard of the Three beyond Sunbane Oasis and the Howling Chasm, not at the Conclave.
- 1Pledge to the Cult of Bysmiel
- ▸During Loyalty to the Three, choose Byscilla, Matron of Rifts, at the Conclave of the Three.
- ▸After pledging, speak with Byscilla and accept In Service of Bysmiel.
- ▸The pledge cannot be changed on the same difficulty and excludes the corresponding Dreeg and Solael questlines.
- 2Complete Blood of the Korvan Guardians
- ▸Take Blood of the Korvan Guardians from Alain in the Bysmiel camp at the Conclave of the Three.
- ▸Kill Infused Animated Watchers in the Temple of Osyr or the northern Cairan Docks and collect 3 Blood of the Watchers.
- ▸Deliver all three to Alain. The Temple of Osyr alone can provide enough targets.
- 3Complete The Power of Galfang
- ▸Next, accept The Power of Galfang from Alain; a quest rift opens nearby.
- ▸Enter the Veiled Den through the rift and kill Galfang at the end.
- ▸Pick up Galfang's Core, return it to Alain at the Conclave, and finish his dialogue.
- 4Report to Byscilla at the Vanguard
- ▸After both subquests, travel north from Sunbane Oasis through the Howling Chasm to the Vanguard of the Three.
- ▸Report to Byscilla at the Vanguard to complete the quest and open the northern gate.
- ▸Rewards are 10,000 / 25,000 / 60,000 XP, 2,000 / 8,000 / 24,000 Iron, and +500 Cult of Bysmiel reputation. Byscilla's Plan follows.
If progress stops, return to Alain at the Conclave. Finish Blood of the Korvan Guardians, then The Power of Galfang, including handing over the Core and completing the dialogue. The final turn-in is Byscilla at the Vanguard beyond Sunbane Oasis and the Howling Chasm.
