WHY PLAYERS GET STUCK
Do not search vendors or simply follow purple ground. Break the large green-glowing crystal formations around Burial Hill; crystals collected earlier during Waking to Misery already count.
WALKTHROUGH
- 1Take the quest from Kasparov in Devil's Crossing
- ▸First accept the main quest Helping Out, then enter the detached workshop beside the Devil's Crossing riftgate.
- ▸Speak to Kasparov at the back of the workshop and accept Kasparov's Experiment.
- ▸The objective is 4 Aether Crystals; crystals already in your inventory count.
- 2Return to Burial Hill
- ▸Leave Devil's Crossing to the north, cross Lower Crossing, and return to Burial Hill, visited during Waking to Misery.
- ▸Several large green-glowing Aether Crystal formations are fixed around Burial Hill and Burial Cave.
- ▸You do not need to reach Burrwitch Outskirts; search the early graveyard area.
- 3Break formations and collect 4 crystals
- ▸Attack the green formations, break them, and pick up 4 Aether Crystals.
- ▸If too few formations remain, return to the main menu and start a new session to respawn them.
- ▸There is no need to buy them from a vendor or blacksmith.
- 4Deliver all 4 crystals to Kasparov
- ▸Return to the detached workshop in Devil's Crossing and give all 4 crystals to Kasparov.
- ▸After the experiment's explosion, receive +1 skill point and XP (Normal 250 / Elite 10,000 / Ultimate 36,000).
- ▸Completion unlocks the side quest The Inventor's Apprentice.
STILL LOST?
If none are visible, stop heading toward Burrwitch and return to the Burial Hill graveyard and Burial Cave entrance. Look for large green formations; if already destroyed, start a new session to respawn them.
Not missable because it is part of main progression. Complete it once per difficulty for 3 skill points total. Helping Out advances after both this quest and And Not a Drop to Drink are complete.
