An Act 1 side quest that starts automatically at a wrecked caravan in Foggy Bank. Rescue the captured merchant Luther Graves to unlock him as a vendor in Devil's Crossing.

WHY PLAYERS GET STUCK
Luther's cage is not in one fixed spot. It can appear at any of three Slith camps east, northeast, or northwest of the wrecked caravan. If one camp is empty, check the other caged camps.
WALKTHROUGH
- 1Find the wrecked caravan in Foggy Bank
- ▸From the Foggy Bank Rift, follow the road a short distance north.
- ▸Approach the burning wreck that blocks the road; the quest starts automatically with no quest giver.
- ▸Follow the Slith tracks and blood away from the wreck and search the nearby camps.
- 2Search the three possible Slith camps for Luther
- ▸Using the wreck as your landmark, check the Slith camps to the east, northeast, and northwest.
- ▸Look for Luther Graves inside a cage. His location is selected from these three possible camps for the session.
- ▸Clear the nearby Slith and speak to Luther. Merely finding the cage does not advance the quest.
- 3Choose the rescue terms and open a rift
- ▸Choose whether to rescue Luther for free or demand payment.
- ▸A free rescue grants +500 Devil's Crossing reputation at completion. Extortion replaces that reputation with Iron Bits: 1,500 / 5,000 / 12,000 on Normal / Elite / Ultimate.
- ▸Unless your reputation is already capped, the free rescue is generally more useful. Open a rift to send Luther to Devil's Crossing.
- 4Speak to Luther in Devil's Crossing
- ▸Return to Devil's Crossing and find Luther beside the Prison gates, where he has set up shop.
- ▸Speak to him again to complete the quest. XP: 350 / 13,000 / 30,000 on Normal / Elite / Ultimate.
- ▸Luther remains permanently available there as a general merchant.
STILL LOST?
Return to the wreck north of the Foggy Bank Rift, then sweep the caged Slith camps east, northeast, and northwest. After the rescue, turn the quest in to Luther beside the Prison gates in Devil's Crossing.
The quest is not missable. The rescue reward choice cannot be redone, but either choice unlocks Luther's shop.
