Old Scars
An Act 2 side quest offered by Balvoruuk in the ruins of Old Arkovia. Slay three spirits of the ancient Arkovian Oligarchs in the Arkovian Undercity, then report to Kalderos outside the Steps of Torment in the Broken Hills.
Balvoruuk stands southeast of the Undercity entrance in the surface ruins south of the Twin Falls Rift, so he is easy to miss if you enter the dungeon first. After the three kills, do not return to the quest giver; report to Kalderos outside the Steps of Torment in southeastern Broken Hills.
- 1Accept the quest from Balvoruuk
- ▸Travel south from the Twin Falls Rift into the ruins of Old Arkovia.
- ▸Speak to Balvoruuk on the surface, southeast of the Arkovian Undercity entrance.
- 2Slay Nomos Dred on level 1
- ▸Enter the Arkovian Undercity through the entrance northwest of Balvoruuk.
- ▸Explore level 1 and slay Nomos Dred at his fixed location.
- 3Slay the other two Oligarchs on level 2
- ▸Take the northwestern passage on level 1 down to level 2.
- ▸Slay Laudos Vagra and Rhovena Kur at their fixed locations.
- ▸Kilrian, the Tainted Soul on level 3 is not required for this quest.
- 4Report to Kalderos outside the Steps of Torment
- ▸Travel to the Broken Hills Rift and head southeast to the entrance of the Steps of Torment.
- ▸Report to Kalderos waiting outside the entrance.
- ▸The reward is 4,500/15,000/35,000 XP on Normal/Elite/Ultimate and unlocks the side quest Descent into Torment.
If you have not accepted the quest, go south from the Twin Falls Rift and find Balvoruuk southeast of the Undercity entrance before going below. If a kill is missing, check Nomos Dred on level 1 and Laudos Vagra and Rhovena Kur on level 2. After all three kills, go to the Steps of Torment entrance southeast of the Broken Hills Rift rather than returning to Balvoruuk.
