Crate's Secret Quest
An Ultimate-only secret event in Forgotten Gods. Destroy six Unassuming Crates, use Chillheart to open the rift to the Sanctum of the Chosen, and defeat the secret superboss Crate of Entertainment at the end of the Edge of Reality. There is no quest log or map marker; progression is tracked only by hidden flags.

WHY PLAYERS GET STUCK
The crates do not appear on Normal or Elite, and nothing is added to the quest log. The first crate in the Forgotten Cellar at the Conclave of the Three must be broken to spawn the other five. Even after all six are destroyed, the Desert Altar in Bonebleach Basin will not activate unless Chillheart is in your inventory.
WALKTHROUGH
- 1Break the first seal to spawn the other five
- ▸On Ultimate, travel to the Conclave of the Three and enter the unmarked Forgotten Cellar through the tent-obscured door near the Cult of Dreeg faction vendor.
- ▸Destroy the Unassuming Crate inside. The Spirit of Crate appears and identifies it as the first of six seals.
- ▸This first crate spawns the remaining five. For the safest route, follow the official English Wiki's listed order below; the current Japanese Wiki notes that the last five may be broken in any order after the first. No quest-log entry or yellow marker appears.
- 2Destroy the five remaining seals across Korvan lands
- ▸Hidden Refuge: enter the secret area north of the Temple City of Osyr Riftgate and break the crate hidden by trees in the northwest.
- ▸Sunbane Oasis: between Cairan Docks and Sunbane Oasis, follow the waterway north through the secret path beneath the broken bridge and break the tree-hidden crate.
- ▸Ruins of Abyd: leave the Vanguard of the Three to the east, turn north, break the wall, and destroy the crate in the secret area.
- ▸Valley of the Chosen: east of the Tomb of Nephos entrance, break the wall disguised as a ruined gate and destroy the crate in the small enclosure.
- ▸Tomb of the Eldritch Sun: on the second floor, enter the west-side secret area, break the second hidden wall, and destroy the crate beyond it.
- 3Obtain Chillheart and carry it to the Bonebleach Basin altar
- ▸Stand in the green ritual circle near the Vanguard Ritualists at the Vanguard of the Three for about 15 seconds total; the unique dagger Chillheart will appear. Time is cumulative if you step out to survive.
- ▸Keep Chillheart in your inventory. After breaking all six crates, step on the Crate Entertainment logo northwest of Cairan Docks; a nearby wall collapses, opening Bonebleach Basin.
- ▸Cross north through the damaging sandstorm, sheltering behind large rocks and shipwreck debris. Personal rifts are disabled here, so move between safe zones.
- ▸At the northern end on the right, activate the Desert Altar while carrying Chillheart to open the rift to the Sanctum of the Chosen. Chillheart is required only for the first activation.
- 4Solve the five levers and cross the Edge of Reality
- ▸In the Sanctum of the Chosen, strike the five colored levers in ascending item-rarity order—white, yellow, green, blue, purple—to open the door to the Edge of Reality.
- ▸In the maggot field, do not attack the ordinary Oversized Maggots. Focus only the single grayer Perfectly Usual Oversized Maggot; killing it opens the rift in the tower. Pets and persistent damage auras can accidentally aggro the others.
- ▸The lever puzzle is one-time, but the target maggot must be killed again each session. Personal rifts are disabled after the next volcanic section, so place a return rift in the Sanctum before proceeding.
- 5Defeat Crate of Entertainment
- ▸Cross the volcanic section and take the rift to the Eldritch version of Devil's Crossing. Crate of Entertainment appears as you approach the prison's central compound.
- ▸Defeating the boss unlocks the two Crate Collections chests and opens a rift back to the Vanguard of the Three.
- ▸It always drops a Mildly Amusing Box and has a 25% chance to additionally drop Wilhelm's Wondrous Wargem. There is no normal turn-in or quest XP reward.
STILL LOST?
If a crate or entrance is missing, first confirm that you are on Ultimate and broke the first crate in the Forgotten Cellar. If Bonebleach Basin stays closed, one of the six crates is still intact; if the altar does nothing, confirm Chillheart is in your inventory. No marker or quest-log entry exists at any stage.
Forgotten Gods is required and every step is Ultimate-only. This is a hidden flag-driven event rather than an in-game quest, with no time limit or failure branch, so missable is false. Crate of Entertainment is an endgame superboss whose spawning crates require dedicated preparation.
