The Other You
The Other You is an Ashes of Malmouth Act 6 side quest. After reaching Honored with the Coven of Ugdenbog and destroying all three exhaust vents during The Living Factory, Seer Rugia offers it at Coven's Refuge. Enter The Infestation and kill Allostria, the Aetherial that formerly possessed the player character.
The quest giver and target are far apart. Rugia is at Coven's Refuge, not in Malmouth, and Honored reputation alone is insufficient: all three exhaust vents in The Living Factory must also be destroyed. The target is at the north end of The Infestation, entered from Crown Hill; accepting the quest opens its Living Flesh Door.
- 1Meet the requirements and accept from Rugia
- ▸Install Ashes of Malmouth and reach Honored reputation with the Coven of Ugdenbog.
- ▸During the Act 6 main quest The Living Factory, destroy the northern, eastern, and southern exhaust vents in Crown Hill to open the Fleshworks.
- ▸Return to Coven's Refuge and accept The Other You from Seer Rugia.
- 2Enter The Infestation from Crown Hill
- ▸Travel to the Crown Hill Rift and enter the underground area called The Infestation from Crown Hill.
- ▸Proceed to the northern end of The Infestation; the objective is not inside the Fleshworks beyond it.
- ▸Once the quest is active, the previously sealed Living Flesh Door will be open.
- 3Speak with and defeat Allostria
- ▸Speak with Allostria, the Mindthief, beyond the door.
- ▸There are several dialogue responses, but every option leads to the same fight; no reward or outcome is lost through dialogue.
- ▸Kill the Aetherial boss Allostria to complete the quest immediately.
- 4Check the difficulty-specific rewards
- ▸XP rewards are 34,000 on Normal, 56,000 on Elite, and 101,000 on Ultimate.
- ▸Normal also awards an Aetherial Mutagen.
- ▸Ultimate awards +1 Skill Point. The quest remains available later, but do not forget this permanent reward.
If Rugia does not offer the quest, verify both Honored Coven reputation and destruction of all three Living Factory exhaust vents. If the door remains closed, make sure the quest is active, enter The Infestation from Crown Hill, and search its northern end for the Living Flesh Door. If you enter the Fleshworks, you have gone too far.
